1. Xi urges joint efforts to open up new prospects for Asian security, development

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday urged Asian countries and their partners to join hands in opening up new prospects for Asian security and development under new circumstances.

Addressing the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) held in Tajikistan, Xi called on CICA members to uphold the vision of common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security, and explore a regional security structure with Asian features to realize collective security for Asia.

Building a prosperous Asia is a shared aspiration of Asian countries, and development is the key to all problems, Xi said, adding that CICA members should work together to promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, and ink regional integration documents such as Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership at an early date. 亞洲相互協(xié)作與信任措施會議第五次峰會6月15日在塔吉克斯坦首都杜尚別舉行。中國國家主席習(xí)近平出席峰會并發(fā)表重要講話，強調(diào)要踐行共同、綜合、合作、可持續(xù)的新安全觀，倡議探索符合亞洲特點和各國共同利益的安全和發(fā)展道路。

習(xí)近平指出，新形勢下，我們要攜手開創(chuàng)亞洲安全和發(fā)展新局面。

習(xí)近平強調(diào)，建設(shè)發(fā)展繁榮的亞洲是我們的共同愿景。我們要共同推動貿(mào)易和投資自由化便利化，落實今年4月第二屆“一帶一路”國際合作高峰論壇共識。

2. Central govt supports HKSAR government's suspension on exercise to amend ordinances

The Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council spoke Saturday on issues related to the amendment of two ordinances concerning the transfer of fugitive offenders by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government.

A spokesperson for the office expressed support, respect and understanding for the decision announced by HKSAR Chief Executive Carrie Lam on Saturday to suspend amending the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance and Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters Ordinance.

Lam and the HKSAR government have been getting full acknowledgment from the central government for their work, said the spokesperson, noting that the central government will continue to support their governance in accordance with the law and their efforts with people from all walks of life to safeguard Hong Kong's prosperity and stability. 中國國務(wù)院港澳辦發(fā)言人就香港修例問題發(fā)表談話

中國國務(wù)院港澳事務(wù)辦公室發(fā)言人6月15日就香港特別行政區(qū)修訂與移交逃犯相關(guān)的“兩個條例”問題發(fā)表談話，對林鄭月娥行政長官同日宣布的暫緩修例工作的決定表示支持、尊重和理解。

該發(fā)言人強調(diào)，中央政府對林鄭月娥行政長官和特區(qū)政府的工作一直是充分肯定的，將繼續(xù)堅定支持林鄭月娥行政長官和特區(qū)政府依法施政，與社會各界人士共同維護好香港的繁榮穩(wěn)定。

3. Vodafone launches first 5G network in Spain in cooperation with Huawei

In cooperation with Chinese telecom giant Huawei, Vodafone Espana on Saturday rolled out the first commercial 5G mobile services in Spain, making it one of the first European countries with the ultrafast mobile network in Europe.

According to Vodafone Espana, the 5G mobile network covers 15 major Spanish cities including Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Seville. Around half of the residents in these cities will be able to enjoy the cutting-edge high-speed network service, which will be expanded in the future. (Xinhua)

沃達豐聯(lián)手華為在西班牙啟動首個5G商用移動網(wǎng)絡(luò)

跨國電信運營商沃達豐6月15日在西班牙正式啟動該國首個5G商用移動網(wǎng)絡(luò)，華為是核心設(shè)備供應(yīng)商。西班牙由此成為最早一批正式開通5G商用移動網(wǎng)絡(luò)的歐洲國家。

據(jù)悉，5G移動網(wǎng)絡(luò)將首先覆蓋馬德里、巴塞羅那、巴倫西亞和塞維利亞等15個西班牙主要城市，服務(wù)大約50%的當(dāng)?shù)厝丝凇ｋS著時間的推移，5G網(wǎng)絡(luò)還將不斷擴大覆蓋范圍。

4. Physicist Zhong Lin Wang wins prestigious Albert Einstein World Award of Science

The Albert Einstein World Award of Science announced its winner, Zhong Lin Wang on Friday. The chair and regents professor of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Wang has become the first Chinese-American scientist to win this award.

Wang was awarded for his "pioneering and seminal contributions to the discovery, innovation and implementation of nanogenerators and self-powered systems," said the World Cultural Council (WCC), the organization that gives out the award.

The Albert Einstein World Award of Science was created to recognize and encourage scientific and technological research and development. (CGTN)

6月14日，2019年度“阿爾伯特.愛因斯坦世界科學(xué)獎”揭曉，美國佐治亞理工學(xué)院終身講席教授王中林斬獲這一世界性的大獎，成為首位獲此殊榮的華人科學(xué)家。

世界科學(xué)獎評選委員會對王中林的科學(xué)成就給予高度評價，認為他在納米發(fā)電機和自供能系統(tǒng)研究方面做出了影響深遠的開創(chuàng)性貢獻。

阿爾伯特·愛因斯坦世界科學(xué)獎是一項旨在表彰和鼓勵科學(xué)技術(shù)研究與發(fā)展的世界性科學(xué)大獎。

5. Moldovan president announces end of political, constitutional crisis

Moldovan President Igor Dodon announced on Saturday the end of the week-long political and constitutional crisis in the country, soon after the top court annulled its recent decisions regarding the parliament and the government.

Among the rulings annulled by Moldova's Constitutional Court on Saturday was one to dissolve the parliament and not recognize the government of Maia Sandu.

The political situation in Moldova underwent dramatic changes last Saturday when the Socialists and ACUM alliance, which signed a coalition agreement to form a parliamentary majority, convened a special parliamentary session, at which their deputies elected Socialists' leader Zinaida Greceanii as president of Parliament and approved a new government led by Maia Sandu, leader of the ACUM alliance. 摩爾多瓦總統(tǒng)宣布該國政治和憲法危機結(jié)束

摩爾多瓦憲法法院6月15日宣布，廢除此前作出的暫?？偨y(tǒng)行使職權(quán)、議會選舉新議長和通過新政府不合憲法等決定。摩爾多瓦總統(tǒng)多東隨即表示，該國政治危機和憲法危機已結(jié)束。

6. Survey shows how college students view fathers

As this year's Father's Day falls on Sunday, a survey conducted in 561 universities nationwide by the news website youth.cn reveals students' relationships with their fathers.

More than 79 percent of college students know their father's birthday, compared with 21 percent who don't.

More than 56 percent said they have a good relationship with their father, while less than 3 percent considered the relationship bad, and the rest fell somewhere in between. (China Plus)

每年6月份的第三個星期日是父親節(jié)。日前，中國青年網(wǎng)校園通訊社對中國561所高校大學(xué)生開展問卷調(diào)查，調(diào)查顯示，79%的大學(xué)生知道父親生日，21%受調(diào)查者則不記得父親生日。

此外，超過56%的大學(xué)生稱與父親關(guān)系良好，剩余大多數(shù)表示與父親關(guān)系一般，只有3%的受訪者表示與父親關(guān)系緊張。

7. Shanghai International Film Festival opens in grand style

The 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival celebrated its grand opening at Shanghai Grand Theatre on Saturday.

Altogether 522 films will be shown in 47 cinemas all over the city during the 10-day festival.

The festival this year will last until June 24. (China Daily)
